GYNECOLOGY
A FEW FACTS ABOUT GYNECOLOGY Gynecologist and gynecologist Kharkiv
Our gynecological department is headed by GIRMAN LARISA IVANIVNA
⁃ Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, member of the European Association of Gynecological Endoscopists, member of the Ukrainian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Endoscopists and Pelvic Surgeons, obstetrician-gynecologist, surgeon, endoscopist.
Graduated from Kharkiv National Medical University in 1996.
He has been engaged in practical and pedagogical activities for more than 29 years.
Successfully treats patients with various diseases of the female genital area, inflammatory diseases, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, benign tumors of the uterus and appendages, cervical pathology, pregnancy pathology, infertility.
Treats gynecological diseases using modern and medical methods and the latest medical technologies, endoscopic surgical interventions using a surgical laser and argon beam coagulation
AREAS OF ACTIVITY:
• treatment of female infertility (tubal-peritoneal, endocrine)
• preparation for the IVF program in women with low AMH, hypoplasia or absence of the endometrium, absence of receptors in the endometrium using developed and patented original techniques
• organ-preserving surgeries for benign tumors and tumor-like formations of the ovaries using developed and patented techniques
• ORGAN-SAVING SURGERY FOR ECCUTANEOUS PREGNANCY with rehabilitation of reproductive functions in the postoperative period
Our most important achievement is the TREATMENT of INFERTILITY caused by the partial or complete absence of a functionally active endometrium!
You can do as much IVF as you want, but if there is no functionally active endometrium, pregnancy will never occur!
Our gynecologist Girman L.I. is a student of Professor KOZUB M.I., who on October 3, 2023 at 10:17 - 10:24 at the 32nd Congress in Brussels, Belgium - together with colleagues reported on the first results in restoring reproductive function in patients with Asherman's syndrome using autologous mesenchymal stem cells.
The research was conducted on the basis of 3 scientific departments:
1. Kharkiv National Medical University, Department of Oncology - Radiation Therapy and Oncosurgery and Palliative Therapy, Kharkiv
2. Kharkiv National Medical University, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology 3, Kharkiv, Ukraine
3. Louisiana State University, USA 🇺🇸, Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences
Namely, a team of scientists from Ukraine and the USA developed and applied for the first time in the world with a positive clinical effect a NEW method of treating infertility with Asherman's syndrome using hysteroscopy and autologous endometrial stem cells.
The discovery was made as part of a US clinical trial "Clinical Trails.gov Identifier: NCTO4675970"
The results of the clinical study were published in the journal "Reproductive Endocrinology" issue 1-2 (63), 2022.
TREATMENT OF INFERTILITY DUE TO PARTIAL or COMPLETE ABSENCE OF FUNCTIONALLY ACTIVE ENDOMETRIE at Milner Medical consists of several stages:
1. Introduction of biotechnological cells according to patent 145340
2. Restoration of endometrial receptors according to patent 109874
3. Restoration of ovarian function with low AMH (less than one) according to item 145340, US ClinTrail NCTO4675970, 115706
We invite all women with infertility, endometrial hypoplasia of any etiology to Milner Medical - if you want to restore your reproductive function.
Don't despair – there is hope for a positive outcome!
OPERATIVE GYNECOLOGY
The Gynecological Department of the 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 performs diagnostic and surgical hysteroscopy (hysteroresectoscopy) and laparoscopy.
Operations at the 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 are performed by students of Professor KOZUB V.I., gynecologists Loskutov Volodymyr Mykolayovych and Girman Larysa Ivanivna.
Diagnostic hysteroscopy is performed to examine the uterine cavity and take tissue for biopsy (from the uterine cavity and cervical canal).
Indications for performing HYSTERORESECTOSCOPY:
• uterine fibroids (submucosal form), when the formation penetrates deeply into the uterine cavity and requires surgical intervention, rather than observation;
• synechiae of the uterine cavity (adhesions), if their excision is required;
• cervical occlusion (closure of the cervical canal), which prevents entry into the uterine cavity;
• endometrial polyp;
• foreign body in the uterine cavity;
other problems in the uterus found during the examination.
PREPARATION for the operation:
You need to make an appointment with a gynecologist for an examination. Choose with your doctor the most optimal day for the operation and schedule a preoperative examination, which includes the following:
• ECG;
• smear for vaginal microbiocenosis, oncocytology;
• Ultrasound of the pelvic organs;
• clinical blood test with leukocyte formula;
• general urine analysis;
•biochemical blood test (total protein, ALT, AST, total bilirubin, direct bilirubin, glucose, cholesterol, creatinine, urea, sodium, blood potassium);
coagulogram;
• HIV, HBsAg, HCV, Treponema pallidum;
• BLOOD GROUP AND RHESUS FACTOR
7 working days after hysteroscopy, you must make an appointment with a doctor for an examination and to receive a histological conclusion based on the material taken during hysteroscopy and the necessary recommendations for further treatment.
Professor KOZUB M.I. developed unique methods of LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY using ARGON radiation coagulation:
• Treatment of PCOS according to patent 41047A, 10107-A
• Treatment of OVARIAN APOPLEXIA according to patent 63452A
• Treatment of BENIGN OVARIAN CYSTS, serous, mucinous according to patent 42103, 42263
• Treatment of DERMOID OVARIAN CYSTS according to patent 59218A
• Treatment of ENDOMETRIOD OVARIAN CYSTS according to patent 44629A, 3701
• ORGAN-SAVING OPERATIONS FOR TUBE PREGNANCY according to patent 35240A
And also:
• Treatment of PROGRESSIVE TUBE PREGNANCY by patented method 59725
• Treatment of TUBO-PERITETONAL INFERTILITY p-t 62661
• Treatment of COMBINED PCOS AND TUBO-PERITETONAL INFERTILITY, p-t 81110
• PREVENTION OF THE ADHESION PROCESS AND REHABILITATION IN THE POSTOPERATIVE PERIOD p-t 114968
• Treatment of purulent tubo-aortal inflammations p-t 119863
• RESTORATION OF REPRODUCTIVE FUNCTION IN PATIENTS WITH BENIGN TUMORS p-t 125366
FEATURES OF THE INFLUENCE OF ARGONOPLASM COAGULATION
The use of argon radiation coagulation in ovarian hemostasis causes not only a hemostatic but also a protective effect, which is mediated by the induction of HSP27, SOD2, VEGF, and iNOS.
HSP27 – heat shock protein 27
SOD2 – mitochondrial superoxide dismutase 2
VEGF – vascular endothelial growth factor, produced by cells to stimulate vasculogenesis and angiogenesis
iNOS – ensures long-term release of NO by the vascular endothelium, and NO protects the body from bacteria, viruses, and cancer cells.
All this determines its organ-preserving effect when used for ovarian coagulation.
Operations are performed in a modern operating room using new generation equipment under general anesthesia.
We are also proud that our team includes Anesthesiologist-Resuscitator NIKITIN O.A. – one of the most experienced anesthesiologists in Kharkiv.
His experience, sensitive understanding of what is happening, and skill ensure safety, good quality anesthesia during the operation, and an easy recovery afterward.
Therefore, it feels like anesthesia for our patients lasts only 1 minute… and you are already in the ward.
After the operation, you will rest in an individual ward with comfortable conditions: TV, wi-fi, 24-hour medical supervision and meals.
